Saudi Arabia is in a tropical desert climate as a large amount of its territory is covered by vast deserts. Its summers are hot and dry, with maximum temperatures reaching over 50°C. The average annual rainfall does not exceed 200 mm, coupled with the harsh environment and high sandstorms.
