KD Project in Thailand for Golden Dragon Of 2022

   The most dazzling point in the 2022 export performance of Golden Dragon Buses is the KD Project. It is understood that among the annual exports of Golden Dragon Buses in 2022, about 2,700 units of KD products, an increase of 180% year-on-year.

   This can be supported by the case of the Thai market, our 2022 performance in the Thai market can be described as a flat ground 'Himalayan mountain', from zero sales step across to 1850. and this Bangkok bus project is all CKD bulk assembly, which is also the largest number of single market in the history of Golden Dragon Bus of orders.

   The difficulty of CKD project itself is much higher than the export of complete vehicles, and the CKD project in Thailand, in addition to the quantity, has also set a number of "firsts" in the history of Golden Dragon Bus. In the past, our KD projects were more similar to top-assembly plants, but this Thailand project is the first time for Golden Dragon Bus to replicate the four processes of stamping, welding, painting and final assembly in a holistic manner overseas. This is a very difficult process, which requires us to transfer the complete 'Know-how' experience in manufacturing. In addition, we helped build the KD production line in Thailand from factory construction, equipment installation and commissioning, to worker training.

  In addition to the Thailand project, Golden Dragon has completed KD projects in many countries such as Kazakhstan, Egypt, Uganda and Tunisia. The success of the Thailand project confirms that the judgment of the KD project is correct. Having previously judged that KD projects would become an important part of the future export business, the first CKD project was opened in 2009 and experience was continuously accumulated. In recent years, many countries have successively raised import tariffs on complete vehicles and introduced procurement policies that are more favorable to their own products, which laterally boosted the proportion of KD projects to be higher and higher.
