The first elevated bus rapid transit line in Mexico City, the capital of Mexico, was officially put into trial operation, and the trolley buses used in the line were manufactured by Yutong buses. In Mexico City's Ixtapalapa district, the mayor of Mexico City, Claudia Himbaugh, and the Chinese ambassador to Mexico, Zhu Qingqiao, took a ride on the trolleybus to experience the new line and attended the trial run launch ceremony.

 

The director of the Office of Engineering and Services of the Mexico City City Government, Jesús Esteva, said at the launch ceremony that the trolleybus line is a dedicated elevated line, with a total line length of about 8 kilometers, adopting a private operator + government operation model, initially putting in 26 trolleybuses, with a regular speed of 24km/h and a maximum speed of 50km/h, with a one-way time of about 38 minutes per vehicle and a frequency of 40 trips The total daily passenger capacity is expected to reach 70,000 passengers. It is reported that the line is scheduled to be officially opened on October 15, which will shorten the original 1-hour commute to more than 20 minutes.
